Hopalong has been providing occupational therapy services to the St George and Inner West community for the past 26 years, with 16 years with the current senior OT and director, Tahnee.
Our newly renovated 180sqm sensory gym in Newington is over two levels, and was based on our long established sensory gym in Peakhurst in a large two story light industrial warehouse space.
Hopalong has recently expanded and moved our North Strathfield clinic to a new clinic space in Newington, next to Olympic Park. We have 180sqm of floor space including multiple suspended equipment set ups, ball pool, 2 rock climbing walls, trampoline, scooterboard ramp, 100s of games and handwriting resources. Enjoy 1:1 sessions through the term and group programs in the school holidays.
Also options for regular mobile sessions in local schools and homes. You will need access to a car for regular or one off school and home visits in the local area. Free onsite parking is provided out the front of both clinics.
All our therapists on team have passion for working with children and their families with a variety of functional difficulties, not just NDIS clients.
We work with children aged 2-18 years with a variety of diagnosis, not solely ASD. Our focus is on supporting children in mainstream preschools and schools who often miss out on support and funding.
Hopalong is not NDIA registered, so only sees Self Managed and Plan Managed funded clients. Your caseload will be a mix of NDIS and privately paying clients for school based goals including handwriting, social skills, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, sensory processing, self care and visual perception.
We are a bespoke team of experienced OT's with realistic KPI's in the business

You develop your own CPD plan
Hopalong offers internal training and supervision including our Hopalong Onboarding Program, which is weekly then fortnightly face to face supervision sessions, quarterly team training and all day accessible supervision to senior OT’s through emails and phone calls. External supervision, including a budget of up to $750 per year (depending on salary rate selected), for external professional development courses relevant to your caseload. Our senior OT’s can also assist you with supervision requirements for AHPRA to gain your registration if you have your qualifications from overseas or returning to the workforce.
